Hi everyone, my ingame name is regis. I am new to this game, ive only been playing a few months, and some of you have seen me in game and even played with me in game (kudayta, tom busch us are a few i remember)
anyway i will describe what happened in both of these battles and i want some advice on how i could have won these games.
In the battle with tom busch, i was USA and he was SA. i placed the majority of my fleet on the west coast of the us and i had a few other ships and carriers on the east. My silos were in the shape of a star with a radar in the middle of it, around the northern border next to canada. anyway, what tom busch did was placed nearly all his units in mexico, including silos and radars and air bases. (i did NOT expect this, because i read somewhere in the forums that you NEVER place any units except radar in mexico) tom busch also had his fleet exactly halved on both sides of mexico, half in the gulf of mexico, and the other half near california in the US. Anyway i kinda held my fleet off to see what he would do, but i swear he launched so many fighters over the US and scouted out all my silos. i mean, it was just an absolute army of fighters that my silos never stood a chance of shooting down. I thought about going ahead and launching my silo nukes, and my subs were safely hidden behind my fleets, 1 near california and 1 near florida, so i decided to launch those first. well, by the time i got through launching those sub nukes, tom busch already had a million bombers wiping my silos off the face of the earth. i managed to take a few of his cities out, but after he got rid of my silos, it was very clear who had won
The battle with kudayta was even more embarrassing. Man he was so good. I was africa and he was south america. i had my fleet spread out along the west coast of africa, obviously because this is where the fights would take place. I had my silos in northern africa, way in the back to prevent ludayta from scouting them out, (learned from tom busch battle). anyway, the naval battle started. it was as if he had his entire navy focus fire on 1 ship at a time. my battle ships always remained in front of my carriers, but they were wiped out in the blink of an eye. I saw all this fire coming from all of kudaytas lined up fleet, and it seemed to only target 1 ship at a time, and kill it almost instantly. my fleet, so spread out, which was my mistake, was so easily and fast destroyed! i panicked, and launched my silo nukes and my sub nukes that were in the gulf of mexico. those hit pretty well into mexico, and that general area. i tried to launch more sub nukes in the same spot, but those subs got destroyed. anyway, it was a useless battle as he quickly eliminated my silos and won by a land slide.
DONT GET ME WRONG, THOSE GAMES WERE VERY FUN!! i thoroughly enjoyed those games, and losing didnt bother me at all. infact, i learned alot from those battles, and am now able to completely smash the cpu player. but i look forward to playing more human players... since i only have the demo version and probably wont be able to afford the real version for a long time since i am a student on a budget...but i digress. anyway very fun games and hope to play more people soon!

Hey there good read
You didnt do too bad. as long as you learn from every game your'e gold! Keep it up!
Yeah, you weren't terrible against me either. I just had a radar edge (I keep my carriers really close to my battleships) and my scouts had pretty much mapped out your navy. So I was able to creep into position and hit your battleships before you could see me. What you really did wrong in that game was to "cross your T". That's a term from the Age of Sail, when naval battles took place on wooden ships. Their cannons were primarily on their broadsides, so if you could maneuver about so that the enemy was coming at you head-on while you had your sides pointed at him, you were gonna win. What you did in that game was basically the same thing. You kept funneling your ships through one at a time, heading right at my "broadsides" (aka, bombers). You would've been better off had you taken your north Atlantic fleet, and moved it towards the Caribbean then launch bomber raids from there, maybe get a scout on my silos and kill them with your subs.
The timing of your launch was actually very well done. Rather than wait for me to scout you and destroy your silos, you got rid of as many nukes as you could, as soon as you could.
