Mods do not work

i have placed the desired mods in the directory specified here

the mods do not show up in game, ive tried rearanging files and folders within the mods/ directory to no avail

is it something obvious i am missing?

Hard to say. Can you provide screenshots of the mods directory, both its content and where it resides?
