[Mod]DeepSea

This mod shows the ocean ground instead of a plain water colour called blue.
It needs some improvement, but its useable, and I dont know if I can make myself improving it.

Enjoy the deepsea!
Unzip into your Defcon dir. Enable Shaded Water.
The mod includes a default.txt style, if you dont wanna use the style make sure to use a primary water colour with high alpha.


Suggestions are welcome. Or any kind of response.

Eugh at the download, I don't know about anyone else but I know I am entirely put off by rapidshare/similar download services... if it's only a couple of meg (I'm guessing so), put it on http://pox.cerebrojd.net/dump.php or somewhere else that's just a simple download.

I am pretty pissed myself about rapidshare, but also clueless how to find a good alternative.

Actually yes. I was thinking about a shaded relief map. If it looks good i will release it.
And there is the SatCon mod, which looks pretty. You can combine it with deepsea. Deepsea has to be above SatCon in the mod list, and mayby you have to fiddle with the styles.

Why not just combine the .bmp files (Gimp can overlay them easily) and then have one single mod?

I like the modular use of mods. For example SatCon looks good, for sure. But i dont use it, cause i cant distinguish the units. So imho the map and the unit files should be 2 different mods.
I will update my mod in a few days, so it plays nicely with satcon, without style.txt fiddling (if thats possible).
