Bug - Trees/Objects appear as red squares when zoomed out

Hello! This is my first post, so hopefully I've put it in the right place. I have played this game throughout the Alpha, but this is the first time I've loaded it since it officially launched. When I loaded it up, the trees, and any objects (workers, the workers' bus, etc) are rendering as red boxes, which kind of look like partial images of a red car. It only happens when I'm zoomed out, and once I zoom in the overlays slowly fade out and the trees appear normal again. I am on a Macbook; tried uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail. I launched in Safe Mode and it doesn't happen.

Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

I've submitted this on Mantis as well. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know

This often happens when there are left over files from an outdated mod in the game. Did you ever use mods at some point? If so, simply reinstalling won't fix those files, you have to completely delete the folder in which you installed PA and install it into a brand new one.

Actually no, I hadn't used any mods. I got some replies over on my Mantis post, and it seems to be limited to Mac users running the latest version of MacOS (El Capitan).
