Naming moves

Postby Schubdüse » Sat May 26, 2007 9:21 pm

Recently, I have seen another game with skynet77812. I think most of the players, who have played against him, are familiar with his 12-subs-attack-hammer. I would like to name it the skynet-sub-strike (SSS). I think he has earned it. (Sorry Xocrates  ) Any rejections? Maybe he is not the first one, who has used this move in that way. But I don't know anybody else.

I'm familiar with following moves, tactics or placements:

Special-silo-placement: FEUD
Evil, sneaky mutual beneficial destruction: shinyBonsai manoeuvre(TM)

Are there any other namings?

I'm object to that naming proposal.

There is also the Beam attack.

What does this entail?

Evil, sneaky mutual beneficial destruction: shinyBonsai manoeuvre(TM)

This manoeuvre is actually the Shinybonsai Manoeuvre, I think you'll find. And users are called Silo Bribing Hyenas.

I forgot WEPS' umbrella-bomber-run too.
I think "ander75it" mentioned the "beam attack" first.

I get a strategy named after me? Sweet!

When you say "special-silo placement", what do you mean? Do you mean how I group my silos in a hexagon around a radar?

Also, what is this 12 sub hammer thingy?

Launch all subs at once i.e. something the AI would do if all its subs are in place at launchtime.

But instead of the CPU skynet has the right timing!

Hey, it was only a suggestion. Of course other players are familiar with this "tactic" too. I think, every game I have seen with skynet he used the SSS quite effectively. Therefore it came into my mind to call it SSS.

I must mention 3 methods:

Weps' "Railway Bombers" - lining up 6 double carriers to deliver an unstoppable freight train of MRBMs.

Hank Scorpio's "Hanky Panky" - his signature magnum launch: everything at one continent. What a spank!

Ace Rimmer's "Holo Rimmer" - his ability to project his nuclear forces as a devastating hologram blow - anywhere, anytime.

I'm sure there are more. If you feel left out, shout BACON BASTARD! :D

Asia/Africa to EU/Russia is Spanky.
SA to USA is Hanky Panky.

Teehee
