PC Format awards Darwinia 90%

Postby Chris » Fri Feb 25, 2005 2:48 pm

"A new classic - it will challenge every gaming instinct you have..." says Kieron Gillen in a two page review in this months PC Format magazine. Darwinia is awarded an awesome 90% (the highest scoring game in the entire issue), and their "GOLD PCFORMAT" award.

PC Format always have a "genre" box on every review that tells you what sort of game they're reviewing, eg FPS or RTS, and for Darwinia they've just written "Videogame". We approve.

Ha-ha! Seconded :)

I wonder how many extra sales all this positive publicity is going to generate? Are there going to be enough copies to go round?

Actually, this should be a good test to see how much difference good reviews make to a game's sales.

And I am heading out to the shops now to get PC Format as I do every month. I will then have EVERY magazine to review Darwinia, ie the Future Publishing collection. Also nice genre.

Wonder if you lot will sign my magazines if I bring them with me.....

You will have to wait decades at least... IV will have had to make it Disney/Michael Jackson/Beatles big... and they will have to die, for a puny autograph to be worth anything. I doubt that in 20 years time it wont even be worth £20. Programmers/games aren't really popular as collectibales.

Anyway I thought you were going to a release PARTY not a geeky-fanboy convention. Image the scene: Along comes captin geeky-fanboy bothering everyone saying "Can I have your autograph?" and they say "Shut the fuck up! I'm tring to have a laugh and a drink." while lighting a cigar with a £20 note "Now go sit in that corner until it's time to go home." :P
