Thanks to all poster competition entrants

Thanks to all those people who've sent entries in to our Poster Competition - we really do appreciate your help. The competition is very much still open - we don't yet have a clear winner and we've only been running for four days - so if you've got any good ideas, please do send them to us. So far we've mostly received images made up of existing Uplink pictures, using the traditional Blue tones and Battlefield fonts. We are very interested in seeing different ideas - ideas that try something totally new with the Uplink name. Please don't feel you have to stick to tradition on this. We are aware of a bug in the new 1.3 patch, which causes Uplink to crash whenever you go near modems on LAN systems. This is a pretty serious one, so look out for a fix soon.

There is a short (half page) review of the 1.2 Nakatomi Patch in the latest PC-Gamer (UK). Since the review in PC Gamer many months ago Uplink has featured in almost every issue - sometimes as a reader review, sometimes as a hint or cheat code printed at the back of the mag. Somebody at that magazine likes us.

Punisher Bass informs me he has set up a new Website - the official home for AWOL Computing - at this address. He has a number of Gateways available for download from his AWOL collection. Punisher Bass is one of the Uplink Veterens - he was Beta Testing for us when most of you hadn't even heard of this game.
