Demo fun in Linux

Downloaded the linux demo from the patch thread a few minutes ago and installed it.

Installation had no problems (installing to ~/uplink-demo).

On a quadcore 64 bit box running Fedora 11 w/8GB ram, the damn thing obstinately refuses to run - segfaults each and every time. 32 bit versions of libgtk and libglu are definitely installed (managed to get another game working with them), but not an Uplink-specific debug long to be found on the box, even after the failures below.

It's at least as plain as the nose on my face that I've missed something - but what?

Not sure if this will fix it but I notice a difference in the permissions of some files, you may want to try changing them.

I've chmodded only those files to 755, I've chmodded everything in uplinkdemo to 755, still no luck.
