"New" Windows Xp Installation problem

i just recently laid my hands on uplink from a friend, and when i try to install game i go thrue the hole installation and when it shuts down i get a Windows has encuntered a problem window, and i have tryed like 800 times, searched the forum, and found none with my problem with a sulution.

so does anyone have any idea what i can do to make it work? realy wanna get going with this game.

Could you post the crash report? Its generated someplace in your Uplink installation directory. I can't recall exactly.

Also, CD install or Steam install?

Is it a CD installation, or from a Download.

Is it from Strategy First, Introversion, or Steam?

Also if you could post the crash repot it would be most helpful.
