Flashing Writiing

Postby Hak » Thu Oct 04, 2007 10:27 pm

I got my computer upgraded the other day and installed Uplink to it, but when the screen opens on the login page the writing keeps flashing.

Anyone know what I can do to stop this?

what hardware did you add?

new Graphics card? upgrading the drivers for that is always good.

cpu? thats a little harder.. especially since most old game dont really like quad cores, or dual cores right now

I recently downloaded Uplink again, (after about 5 months inactivity.) and I'm still getting the flashing writing. Last time I just changed the resolution to fix the problem but this time that's not working. I haven't updated my Laptop since 2/10/07.

Anyone know what I can do to fix the problem? (preferably without updating my hardware)

Thanks.

its possible you dont have the right software drivers for the hardware, i would recommend going through your software and see if anything needs updating

Really, try updating your video driver,

Worse case try turning software rendering on by putting this opengl32.dll file in Uplink directory (this may cause lag and slowdown so this should be a last resort action).
