What's with the new layout?

I just noticed that the forum has now been split into two sections (Uplink and Nakatomi). For the life of me I can't figure out why this was done. Most people don't know that Nakatomi was the patch and will think it is another game. So now we will get all sorts of questions about that and people will not post in the bug report forum there, but in general instead. I just don't see the point.

Also, most of the forums in the Nakatomi section aren't relevant to Nakatomi anyway...

I'm glad they've now merged the forums (about bloody time), but the split in the Uplink forums still makes no sense. I like the idea of the Introversion lounge.

Oh, Deepsmeg, there were only two when I initially posted. The Introversion section wasn't there at that point.

The forums haven't been merged; they are still seperate as before. However, we now have the interlinking catagories.

As for the layout of the Uplink forums, what do you suggest?

I think you should scrap the nakatomi section, and just have two catergories Uplink and Introversion. This will remove confusion for new starters and will stop any concievable idea this is a new game.

Yes, I understand the underlying structure, but they are merged in that they all appear (to some degree) on a single main (Introversion) forum.

I would not have changed the layout. This whole Nakatomi thing doesn't make any sense. I would also think it would be good to make the forum headings on the Introversion forums link to the appropriate forum. As it is clicking on the heading just colapses all the other sections, which is rather useless and there doesn't appear to be a way to get to the Uplink and Darwinia forums from the Introversion forums. Many people are going to think the 3 sections/forums you have listed for Darwinia and Uplink are all that their are. Given that neither has bug reports listed, the general forums will be innundated with bug reports. If you are going to only show a selection of the Uplink and Darwinia forums on the main Introversion forums, then their should definitely be a clear link to the full forum list for each game and a not explaining that there are more forum sections for each.
