Landmodv1.0

Very soon I will be able to post the first version of landmod. However the current map is set up with four forts in each corner(alpha, beta, gamma and theta). The setback is that with the looping (wrapping) of the earth puts the left and right forts right next to each other. So at the current time you may just want to 2v2 instead of free for all. However it may make an interesting diplo map. I am currently modding the structure icons, once that is done I will have screenshots and the mod uploaded.

I still need to get the screens unloaded. Me and my friends are gonna play, then we should have some good screens for you.

i'll give it a go

EDIT: you folders are wrong, you have data/main/earth/ etc

there should be no 'main' folder, copy the earth, graphics folders into the data folder and it should work

Just has a game, it was fun, but i suggest you should give the land some texture (i.e grass, sand, roads, buildings) and place so obsticals where the land vehicles can go. It will make it look much better.

when you tried it did it call the humvees carriers and the scuds subs.

yep

however the graphics for humvess and scud trucks were quite dim, maybe you could thicken their lines a bit, same for the UAV drones.

ok. I changed the english.txt, I had it working fine before. Could you look into it a little, i cant find the problem.

well, it wouldnt load the names, however I found the Issue:

Code: Select all

state_airdefense                    Flak

it should be FLAK not Flak. Once you change it all the names change over and it works fine.

Ive been trying but how do you get it not to be shades of blue? Is that a style thing?

yep, change the values for land colour and water colour in the styles menu.

just figured that out by looking at satcon. thanks anyway. I will probably release 1.1 today.
