I love Uplink, it is very cool!

However, bad person that I am, I play at work sometimes.  I'd like a
way to turn off the sounds, seperate from turning off the music.

Thanks!

Turn down you're speakers?
I thought I saw a sound off in the readme, I could be mistaken, but check just in case...

Edit: or you could probably just make the sounds.dat empty, or if that crashes you, just make a file with the same contents but full of null sounds.

There's one on modlink that has different sounds, sure someone can make one to have none.

See, though, I want the music but not the dialing noises...

Or make a mod that replaces the sound effects with samples of musical instruments :cheesy:
(sorry, just couldn't help it ;) - As for the sound: I think the game should have volume settings for both sound effects and music. I already posted that in the "bugs" section, but I don't know wether or when there will be another game update, and if they implement that feature.)
