The only right answer: When it's done.

Is there any communication on what has been worked on? or wil it be anounced when alpha 12 arrives?

I've seen the live stream, I follow twitter etc. but it is still unclear to me.

Alpha a usually released once a month. For the last few it was in the last week.
You can get a sneak peek at what is comming in the live streams (if you are lucky you even get to see an early version of the changelog) or on twitter. But you won't know all the changes until the release changelog is out on release day.

TL;DR
Alpha release date never published (usually once a month). Changes published on release.

(and please stop asking for every alpha...)

Shakedowns (cell searches) have definitely been worked on. Don't know if they'll be in the release though ;)

I bet they will release Shakedowns, search cells and such on Alpha 12. I have seen that prisoners will have some traits...I also have seen that there may be a new staff member: Dog handler

Or by carefully reading the closed bugs on Mantis. Though that only covers fixes. ;)

Thus far, it has been once a month. That is not a promise that it will continue to be once a month moving forward. Past results don't predict future performance, and all that. Which is to say, I wouldn't tie your happiness up too much into the idea that new alphas will be released every month.

If the first livestream is anything to go by (I haven't watched the second one yet) Chris updates the change list as he's programming.

I can't imagine anyone doing any sort of serious programming doing this in any other way. Doing a month's worth of programming, then at the end comparing the product now to what was released a month ago in an attempt to make note of all the changes is just unreasonable. I have a hard time remembering all the changes I make to a program in a week's time, nevermind a month.
