Alright ladies and gents, the 2v2 Ladder has been a big success (at least when compared to other attempts at organized Defcon play). Therefore, we'll be moving on with Season 2, which will officially begin January 31st, 2009 (GMT). This give you just a bit over two weeks to sign up. There will be some changes to the rules, see below.
How teams will work
There will be teams made up of six (6) or more players. Games will be scheduled by the teams themselves, there will be no set schedule. However, each team member must play in at least one game every five (5) weeks or that team will have points removed from it's total (probably two points per week of non-activity after five weeks). There will be no TI (five weeks is still pretty long).
Who plays for each team will be determined by the team, please continue to be mature.
To sign up, just post below. Teams will be created later. Once teams are fixed, members may not be traded (rare exceptions may apply). If at any point there are enough active players for a new team/s, those players will be automatically drafted to the new.
Stats will be kept for each team and each team member.
How scoring will work
Combined score of both team mates, not position, will determine the winners. Each win is worth five (2) points, draw is two (1) points per team, loss negative two (-2) points.
There is no limit to the number of games that can be played, so if possible, three games of A vs B could be played at the same time and one after another.

Miscellaneous rules
Drops from a game require a restart if before Defcon 3, up to the players if after (majority vote). That means if you have technical problems, make sure you fix them before playing . Screen shots must be provided for results to count.
The second season will last 12 weeks. Jan 31st - April 24th
More rules may be included later.
Prizes
There will be prizes (again) for Season 2, yet to be determined
By posting below and joining up, you agree to the conditions above and should not complain about them later. If you have a problem with the rules, give an alternative solution and it will be considered.
As you can see, no more Team Captain and the accompanying bonus/loss, and the eight week period has been reduced to five weeks. Still pretty generous (over a month). Anybody that doesn't play at least once a month probably shouldn't be in a ladder.
All players that can remain active are welcome. Please do not sign up if you have no real intention to play. From those that sign up we can organize teams based on timezone/last season's "playing together" stats.
