I'm not sure what I need to do, I'd like to connect to anybody elses game to watch as a spectator for a while, the games Im trying to connect to say 0/3 spectators which to me means there is room for 3 spectators to watch the game.
When I try to connect, the connection progress bar just sits at about half way and the attempts keep counting up 1,5, 17, 30 etc etc etc.
What must I do to connect to other peoples hosted games?
Im running Windows Vista and the game is in the firewall's exceptions list to allow it to connect and I can see many many games in the game lobby, My computer is connected to a router which is connected to our internet cable modem.
Please help,
Thanks,
Can't connect to anybody elses game

Yes, I see the dedcon servers and I can connect up to them just fine, so I guess it's on the end of the users who are hosting the games I've tried to join. I guess I'll just have to keep trying different ones and see if I can get into one that has people playing.
Thanks for the help, I guess it's probably not on my end then.

yeah, you'll run into that a lot when people host their own games. Just stick with the dedicated servers and it will never be an issue.
Also, if the game has already started, you have to download a whole recording of the game, before you get synced. The longer the game, the longer the download. Most of the time it's just not worth the wait to spec. You can, however, watch the recordings at the web page listed in the server's opening message.

Thanks for that information, I was wondering why it was taking so long to get synced up with them, I guess I now know. In any event we've been now running dedcon and it seems people have been regularly hooking up and playing on our server so it shouldn't be too difficult to find others to play with. As they say, build it and they will come.
Not that Im really ready to play against real people, the CPU kicks my butt everytime even when it looks like I've destroyed almost everything they have and killed masses of population they still win so Im still figuring things out.
