Three way transport

Post by Darksun »

Noticing the layout of the radar posts, I thought it might be possible to set up a 3 way transport, and it was. Should this actually be able to happen.

Transporting squads got some interesting results. A to B worked fine. When I tried B to C, the squad reached C, but didn't materialise. Instead, they got bounced back, and ended up back at B where they materialised. Fun! C to B worked fine.

The plot thickens

Now, Dish D is pointing at Dish B, but I told it to point at Dish C. Telling it to point to B makes it point to A. Very wierd.

Then I sent a squad into Dish B, and they were obliterated. Vanished. I'll try some other stuff with this setup, see what happens.

Edit: Turns out they wern't destroyed, they ended up at Dish C. However, they went from the task manager. It was possible to select the squad. The selection arrows pointed to the middle of the transport matter stream, but I could move them around and get them to fire, even though they wern't an 'active' squad.

Yes, I know, I noticed that post after I made mine. However, it acted quite oddly for me, in a way not described in the other thread, so, eh :P

Hi, can you recommend a website where I can find the best way to plan public transportation?
