Uplink 1.54 Patch/Demo (Windows/Linux)

The Mac version of Uplink was ported by a company called Contraband Entertainment. Contraband was composed of one person. That person has gone through some major changes in her life, and is now working for EA. However, Contraband still has the rights to the port. So, unlike the Linux and Windows versions, there are some legal concerns with porting the new patches to Mac.

Andrew Welch, el Presidente of Ambrosia Software (the publisher of the Mac version of Uplink) has as much as said that Ambrosia might be willing to publish a new version, if the legal issues can be sorted, and if someone would actually do the port. I have heard rumours that there is a team working on such a port, but at this point, they are only rumours.

So, long answer short, it is really out of IV's hands. If you want to see a port of the new patches to Mac, you might pester Ambrosia, on their forums.

Hello guys. I'm from germany and I have a problem to install the new Patch 1.54. I have th version 1.3 and this game is in german but I couldn't install the new patch. I have change the path where I have install the game but I couldn't click on install. I have the windows version.

The patches made here are for the English version of the game and do not work on the German version.

Unfortunately, patches for the German version don't exist :\
