thought i'd share this amusing picture I just took. I removed fences so that I could put a Solitary building in and forgot to remove the door -.-, I just happened to look at the worker and this happened.

lmao it's more the fact that he could just walk around the door as there is nothing either side of it

I gathered. I suppose the joke would've made more sense if I followed it up with a quizzical guard arriving to ... open... the door?

Explaining the joke kills the joke. :'(

I'd have thought so too, but apparently these forums are populated by conspicuous numbers of ESL folks. Some 12 posts in and I've learned that *nothing* can be implied or taken for granted.
Re: amusing screenshot
How easy is this to reproduce? Some detailed instructions and starting map to investigate this further would really help.
Re: amusing screenshot
Easy, just plop a jail door anywhere that they walk through. The ai leaves a little to be desired there lol

I see this in my main hallway most often after some renovations.
1) Make a 5x7 foundation
2) Place a door dead center at (3,4) and make walls around the door across the 3 wide hall.
3) Remove walls around door, leave door.
4) Watch as people continue to path into the door instead of routing around.
Seems to just be a general quirk of the pathing code.

Re: amusing screenshot
Yea when i clone cells and they install the doors first, nothing else around they will wait at the doors to go into the open space to further the build. So i just cancel doors and Put them in last now.

apologies, I haven't checked the forums for a while, been really busy with work... as for reproduction, these are the steps I took (I haven't attempted to reproduce it yet).
1) built a fence between 2 buildings
2) placed a small jail door in the middle of it
3) decided that I wanted to expand that way so I removed the fence (but forgot to remove the door for some reason, probably marijuana related)
4) noticed the situation when I was watching my workers do their thing.
5) had a good giggle
6) posted it to the forum.
