Co0nnections? HALP!

Hello,

i just did Connections to CCTV Cameras for the First time.

i have like 100 Cameras, a Monitor Operates 8 of them at a time

what does the different Wire colors mean? it shows they all Operate but have different colors?

Red wires are connections that are active.

and why would the blue wires not be active?

The temptation to troll that question is very strong.

I shall resist.

Because you can connect any amount of cameras to a monitor bank, but the monitor bank doesn't have an infinite number of screens, and so it cycles between the connected cameras in blocks of eight. The red wires being connections that are active or views that are being displayed to the guard.

yup i have like 8 Monitors

now another problem, i have about 10 Servo Doors and 3 Servo Screens, the 3 Servo Screens are all 3 connected to each of the 10 servo doors, but show all blue connections?

The doors do not stay open. When someone approaches the door, the guard using the monitor will open the door for that person. Therefore, when no one needs to go through the door, it will stay closed and the connection will be blue (inactive).

I hve a design suggestion to save you a lot of effort. You seem to be attempting to create camera coverage in the spaces between the cell blocks. You can solve that problem a lot easier and more cheaply by simply fencing it off and setting the area to staff only.
