this "spring cleaning" is over, right?? they (ivsoftware) will be releasing the most current "bug bash" build for all non-steam users in a few days (1-4 days) ... so a22 is complete. is alpha 23 going to be nothing but fixes?

Couldn't say really. At the time of this post, there were still 13 reports assigned (in work) with another 17 awaiting community feedback on whether fixes were successful. This is per the road map and change log respectively. There's quite a few spin-off issues that came up as well and some are still in-work.

It seemed logical that Alpha-22 would be where BugBash-1 leaves off, but I haven't seen confirmation either way. Still seems like there's a good amount of meaningful work to be completed. As for the spring cleaning, it'll expand into summer and fall cleaning easily. We still have a lot of reports to organize ahead of any future BugBash/BETA activities.

By all means, keep the suggestions coming and help us find reports in need of action. For those leaving comments on Mantis directly, it would be helpful if you could attach the tag "updaterFollowup" tag to any past posts and new ones going forward that require attention. Those that prefer the forums can still leave feedback here as well. Everything helps.

I'll handle these shortly. I was waiting for enough time to pass to give the author ample time to respond. These are easy to find and sort by the last time they were updated, so I was planning to keep track of them going forward. No need to reproduce here in the future. We need help identifying the reports that need action hiding amongst the sheer number of reports, as you've been doing.

_alphaBeta_: oh, so you are handling feedback issues by yourself, or do we partition it or what? I think we should close the ones that lack necessary information and have been given a week with no feedback. I appreciate mhoram's effort in identifying the ones worth closing.

The point that I was trying to make was that issues in a feedback status are simple to filter on and sort when they were last updated. I'd think a better use of a helpful volunteer's time, such as mhoram, would be to flag reports in need of action that are not so easy to find. I was merely saying that I was aware of these issues, and have been waiting for responses for a while now. If you or the remainder of the active updaters didn't get to them first, I was planning to do so. I thought we discussed moving away from task exclusivity.

I imagine issues that haven't been responded to since early June can probably be dispositioned. A single week feels a little accelerated for what I was personally planning to do, but if that's what you'd like to do, by all means go forth. People get busy, and I'm sure promptly responding to a Mantis monitoring email is probably not high on the list for everyone. Closing an issue prematurely can lead to an angered reporter that then opens a brand new report, adding to the problem further.

Ok, I will leave the feedback-reports to the updaters.

You can check what's been fixed and is being worked on by looking at the roadmap here: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/roadmap_page.php
And by checking the changelog page you can see which bugs are confirmed (tested) fixed and which needs testing to verify it's fixed: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/changelog_page.php

We are still in BugBash-1, but theres been several test versions adding more and more fixes for testing.
I'm currently away on a trip so I can't check via steam, but from mantis it seems we are now in BugBash-1i so that would be the 9th round of testing new bug fixes.

On the main menu of PA the specific build will be listed on the lower-left of the screen. See this post for an example.

As a general note:

You should only be using in the most recent bugbash version.
If there's a newer version out then you should let steam update.
And then check the ChangeLog page for which bugs are in need of testing.
