UI Clutter?

Hi all,

Really enjoying the latest Alpha but I began to notice that there is now quite a lot going on with the UI in-game. I wonder what your thoughts were on this.

I think it would be good to see some sub-menus added to de-clutter the bottom bar from the 12 (Build, Deploy, etc. +4 (Actions) +1(Reports) buttons it has at the moment.

Thoughts?

My suggestion for sub-menuing is:

=BUILD
- Planning
. Walls
. Objects
. Pathways
- Foundations
. Build
. Remove
- Materials
. All floors & walls
- Objects
. All objects
- Utilities
. All utilities
- Clone

= STAFF
- Hire
. All staff to hire
- Deployment
. Leads to the deployment/patrol screen for staff
. Contraband

= ZONES/JOBS
- Deployment
. Leads to the deployment screen for zones/jobs

= ACTIONS
- Standard
. Lockdown
. Bangup
. Shakedown
. Weapons Free
- Emergencies
. Riot Police
. Paramedics
. Fire Engine

= REPORTS
- Would leave as is

I think that having the menus within each other would make the UI look a lot less cluttered and organise things more neatly and logically. The titles of the groupings could be changed to make it even clearer what is within.
