I forgot to mention: I'm interested to know the order of grants you took to success, particularly in the first few days.
Also, which of the grants were most annoying or most enjoyable to complete? Were there any that paid too much or too little?
And lastly, overall did you find it too easy, spot on, or too difficult?
Thanks heaps and congrats again!
Argh, forgot to click notify when a reply is posted so just saw this.
Have played it through a few more times since, great fun. Naturally went for the 100k straight off the bat and setup a basic prison. I usually leave the 'build 3 rooms' quest (forget the name) to near the end and when the guys are asleep, over a day or two modify the prison to put a workshop, holding cell and laundry in the appropriate places.
I'd then get the little ones out of the way like cellblock, doctors, etc and get a workshop up and running as soon as possible. Your tip of think big start small is spot on. I end up using the entire map of small at the end as I wait to get 100k, and then let the prison tip over to 80 guys, which pays back the 100k I loaned at the start, then manage it till 100 is hit.
The random quantity missions are awesome and difficult at the same time, key is to hear for the ding when you place something and keep a note on the percentages.
Other grants you could add could be to do with hitting x number of people with jobs, find x number of tunnels, (unsure if possible) but add one like 'survive the riot' where it sets everyone's needs at critical and when you reach 1 bar again after that, get 10k or something, etc but overall love it, great work
Will probably download it again later today and run through it again heh. It's not hard for me to do now, but the initial play through and figuring out how to actually get through it was an awesome challenge
