Hey guys,
Why not add a release zone for prisoners who done their time ?
Would be easier to detect those who are trying to escape.
Sorry for the bad English, not my first language !
Suggestion Release zone.

A good idea I think. Any prisoners that escape through any other exit will be fair game.

I think they should be a separate area, or else if you use prison labour, and the inmates go to the delivery area to collect goods, they might try to disguise themselves as a released prisoner, or join the released prisoner line and escape. I really do think that an induction centre is needed (I know it has been discussed) that processes incoming inmates, classifies them, gives them a suitable coloured jumpsuit, escorts them to an assigned cell etc. The released prisoners could also use this centre, but must leave by a specific door that is separate from the incoming door.

This. I'm pretty sure there will be a prisoner check-in area at some stage, where the prisoner will drop off their personal items and pick up their uniform. It makes sense to exit through the same area, pick up their items and change into their regular clothes again.

What does them going to deliveries or disguising themselves as released prisoners have to do with them leaving through an intake area? If you look in my quote I clearly said that intake was separate from deliveries.

And the Corrections van drives in, and the roller shutter closes, then they open the van, bring the prisoner or prisoners into the induction centre (or processing), then the roller shutter opens and the van drives away.
I never did like the incoming inmates being dropped off into an unsecured "Delivery" area. The processing centre is a good idea.

A helpful thing may also be to change released prisoners movement permissions to be similar to visitors so they could walk through staff only areas like visitors can. Or as mentioned previously, a guard escorts them out just like they were escorted in.
I thought I was cleverly working around a bug that caused my released prisoners to just stand around forever. During a 2 AM prison expansion (while prisoners are all asleep) I stumbled over the fact that if I made a hole in the wall, the released guys would suddenly all make a mad sprint for it!
I would make a hole in the wall once a day to let them go...
Eventually I realized that they could not leave because my "gatehouse (airlock stile main door area)" was marked staff only to help deter escapes. This made the released prisoners unable to find any valid path to exit the prison.
So every night, just AFTER midnight (and I've been paid for their head count ) I just turn off staff only in the gate area for a minute or two to let them all out.
