Havent seen this mentioned on the wiki but just found a money bag for the first time. Two actually, dunno why my guard is probably just going to put this in the garbage or why it counts as contraband.
Anyone else seen these or know what the prisoners do with them?
Ok clearly I cant do this image thing, can someone please pm me how

Well,
I guess a prisoner CAN enter the prison system with money in their pockets. If a person had been released on bail and turned up at court in his best suit and tie with some money in his pockets (that could even run into the thousands for big wigs and crime bosses and drug dealers etc) and was then told he was a danger to society and would be incarcerated for a period of time, this would be handed over as "personal effects" when they are inducted into the prison system.
Of course, this would not be available to you whilst you are incarcerated.
Some prisons allow small amounts of cash for vending machines, or to purchase some "luxury items" such as televisions etc.
Sure, it wouldn't attract any interest whilst you are an inmate, at least you could afford a taxi ride home if no family come to pick you up.
