Prisoners not going to work after sitting on bench

Postby DzastinasLT » Mon Jun 10, 2013 7:39 pm

Hey, I tried to search the forums about this but with no avail, so the problem is when the prisoners sit on a bench in free time and when there's work after they don't go to the station where they should be working although they all are marked as working. Forgot to mention that reloading prison fixes it.

I have had this problem too. By the time they start to move, work time is almost over. Those lazy prisoners! :)

Yeah. First I thought that when they fill their comfort they'll go to work but they just keep sitting. BTW what I do is I wait when work time comes and then save my prison and load it again and it works like a charm. ;)

I would like it if you could send a guard to go get them because that is pretty annoying

@DzastinasLT i have also noticed this.

i have used two rough fixes.

1) send them to a cell. a guard takes them there then they go straight to work
2) dismantle the bench they're sitting on

the 2nd one is more efficient but it is annoyed and definitely needs fixing for A11

Maybe they're just tired? Have you been working them too hard? lol.

Remember to put this bug within the mantis bug report tool.

I haven't looked, but I imagine there's quite a few copies of it already. It is a known issue with alpha 10.

FREETIME
WORK

they kept sitting after free time and never went to work, i changed it to this;

EAT
EAT
NOTHING
WORK

and placed FREETIME later in the day.
at NOTHING they go obediently to thier cells and then off to work on time!

Hope it helps.

^^^ also worked for me. I gave my guys a break to use the bathroom during the day - freetime. But they just kept messing about after the hour was over. Changed it to Nothing and they flip back to Work with no problems.

I think it may be a bug with their scheduled pathfinding maybe.

Like in the mornings I have free time directly after sleep time and if I don't do anything the prisoners will contine to sleep for an extra hour and then roughly at the same time wake up. Sometimes it's two hours. But I don't think it has to do with their need fulfillments. It could be the same thing with the sitting issue but I normally fix it before I have time to experiment with it.
