[Suggestion] Taking Out Prison-Architect off Pirate Bay

Postby Ceramic » Sat Jan 12, 2013 8:29 am

So as you all have seen/downloaded/heard that P.A is in Pirate Bay? Before playing Prison Architect you used to download cracked P.A? Well screw you. I haven't downloaded the cracked Prison Architect. I was just wondering that if Introversion could file a lawsuit at Pirate Bay because maybe 100's of thousands of people have the cracked version right now and that's not fair is it? We spent 30-1000$ and then here comes some kids with free Prison-Architect without paying $30. Sucks right? Tell me what you think

Hahahaha look at the votes 14 people probably voted No 'cause they got Prison Architect off Pirate Bay.

If huge record companies and copyright holders with billions of dollars and hundreds of lawyers can't pull that off, I hardly think small software company can ( No offense Introversion, you are awesome! ). :cry:

Also there is already thread like this i think?

Google has links to several different torrents and magnet-links of P.A.

File a lawsuit against them too?

You had a links to 'illegal' magnet-links of P.A. in your browser while you where searching for it on piratebay.

File a lawsuit against you too?

I believe these unsupported versions roaming around on the net is free PR, making the game reach hundred of thousands of more potential buyers that would otherwise not have seen it exist. I for one wouldn't have bought or seen this game without finding it in one of those databases.

I bought into this game for the dev access and the support factor. Not for the game alphas (though I still like them).

You can't pirate forum access, the ability to vote on things and bug tracker access. :)

Just an addition to that, you can't pirate:

* Name in the game
* Physical Pleasures
* Digital-Immorto-Criminalise Your Face
* Shake it like a Polaroid Picture
* Warden Norton I presume?

Of which all are potential sales to all the new potential buyers. ( Except Warden right now ofcourse, it is already sold out:) )

Ha. Have a look here:
http://thepiratebay.se/legal

There is one very good reason why the pirate bay has not been shut down already. They are doing nothing that's illegal [in sweden]. They host no illegal content, and they are certainly not responsible for the actions of their users. Do you hold Google responsible for all the porn on the web?

You're profile box says you are from the US, are you not aware of the overwhelming negative response when the SOPA and PIPA acts were presented? Many who were against wern't pirates it just that they knew it would open up a long road of problems if you were to shut down sites such as thepiratebay considering that it's pretty much just a search engine and like every other search engine dosn't make any of those torrents you see while searching. Last if you want to be taken seriously then insulting people for a choice they made on a poll you created isn't going to help.
Yes, that is a penguin with rabies. Deal with it.

No, no they don't. Sweden's the only country that's got the balls to stand up to the US. They're the only country doing it right.

If you'd posted this in the Developer forum I expect you would have gotten the same response, from people that obviously have paid for PA.

It makes perfect sense. Someone all about the booze, booty and wenches would certainly want the Physical Pleasures.
