Orange jumpsuits and bacon for everyone.
Yes to that idea. I vote Introversion offices and / or the pub nearby, and coincide it with a mega prison-showdown. My prisoners ring their mums way more often than your prisoners...

Now that it is fully released, Mojang isn't making as much as it once was because the new price doesn't justify what you are getting (The full release being practically the same as the Alpha release). I for one am quite happy to pay $30 upwards. It means I'm part of a tighter Alpha group, my opinion is going to matter on the forums and introversion haven't let me down yet with one of their other releases.
Minecraft was cheap in alpha because it didn't have that much content, just like PA now. Not to start a hype but to not charge more for a game that doesn't offer more. Now minecraft is released it is a very versatile game which I spent countless hours on, so I would say it can be compared to games like CoD in terms of playability and fun. Since CoD asks €60 and MC asks €20 I think you may say it is priced too low. PA however does not have that much content and is still in alpha but nevertheless they charge $30, which is more than most indie games aswell as more than minecraft. The first guy that said he feels ripped of with the high price, has arguments that make sense. You however don't. If you are charged more at the start you feel like the game is better, but if you are charged less at the start because it is still growing, you feel ripped off. I am missing some logic there.
And for the "The full release being practically the same as the Alpha release" do i seriously have to link you the mc wiki with the changelog? it will take you hours before you have read through release and beta changes before you arrive at alpha.

Pricing
Do I think that PA will be worth $30 when it releases?
Yes.
Therefore the price is fair. All Introversion are doing is saying "Hey guys this is how much our next game is going to cost, if you buy it early you get to see it made"
Would you rather wait a year or two for them to finish it before paying your thirty bucks?
Yes.

Fourth topic down was "Name in Game Alpha". It would have led you here: http://www.introversion.co.uk/prisonarc ... index.html

At first I thought the high price was due to development costs and a smaller Alpha, but it now seems it's out of pure greed.
I dont think this guy understand economics ... Money = Product
no money... no motherfucking product son!
I don't think you understand economics...
investors money --> product --> customers (end user) money --> investors and developers.
Kapish?
We should allbe the board as we are the investors. Now if you look closely at least we do have a way to charachterize and get involved in the game development as we do have a stage to give our input and thoughts about how the game is progressing in our opinion.
Actually it's *CAPICHE*. Learn to spell

It says on the Steam Store page that if you already have the other Introversion games you can gift them. I'd keep Prison Architect for myself though.

Steam Woes
What information do steam users need to provide to have their donation count towards their upgrade? I thought I followed the instructions to the letter, but got a response stating my email address could not be found a few days later. I sent my forum name, steam email, steam name, the paypal info, and some jpg screenies for good measure as a reply, but I still can't utilize the name in game tier.
