Is Defcon 2 planned?

Postby Deepsmeg » Mon Jan 09, 2006 12:51 pm

I saw the pictures of DEFCON and thought it looked really cool!
Are IV planning on doing a DEFCON sequel where you can add more types of units and send nukes to Mars and have to defend against nukes from Mars and adding in more multiplayer than just 6 so that you can have a huge battle with hundreds of players at a time maybe with each player only having control of one silo rather than the entire arsenal?

That's no reason not to plan ahead! Defcon 3 should be a MMORPG where you have to fight monsters to gain experience and "level up." You'd get better equipment for defeating higher level monsters, and you could have all sorts of cool stuff like spells and archers!

I think they should have called the game Bikini Black.

The British military's alert statuses amuse me no end.

In Defcon 2 some 1337 terrorist hax Darwin Research associates, downloads the darwinians, and turns each nuke into a sentient computer being. Some nukes decide they dont want to be fired. The player must hack into the nukes through the uplink corporation server, delete the Darwinian personalities, and retrace the steps of the terrorist, leading to a climactic battle in cyberspace as the player and the terrorist each create more devastating programs to unleash upon one another. Someone should hire me to think up games.

In Defcon 2 there are a few locations highlighted on the map and your goal is to kill as many greenpeace campaigners as possible. Bonus points if you hit Oxford, UK.
