Software developers funds piracy. Look at leaked Quake 4 from last QuakeCon. Over 100 thousand ppl was there. So, there was big possibility of leak. And on BitTorrent is a fake called: QUAKE.4.MP.TEST.LEAK-EMPORiO. It is a fake because there's some movies and full Quake 3.

there's the real version (it seems) on BitTorrent, i search on torrentspy and saw it. It's inevitable. Deliberately going out of your way to propagate a fake version just seems silly; it's not helping IntroVersion - it would only make the people who get it think it a lesser game and reduce the chances of them WANTING to go and buy it out of respect.

If you get a fake version it is pretty obvious it is a fake version. I really don't think there is any effect on Darwinia's reputation from this. If there is I would think it would be positive.

The fake version that people have been distributing is basically the demo. It is not malware, it does not harm anyone's computer. It simply allows a person to play one of the levels, then tells them to buy the game. How does that harm IV's reputation? I don't understand...
