There's a lot of infrastructure that needs to be set up so that a downloadable version will work. Just give it some time, since it's been confirmed that it will be soon.

Where'd ya hear that? Has someone actually taken my post as not being spam? Or did you just check the ASW boards?

I seem to recall it's been posted on here repeatedly.

Read the rest of the topic. These fine folks are refering to downloading Darwinia from IV, for Windows. This has nothing to do with the Mac release, which will be soon. RELAX. Take a deep breath. Wait. Be patient. Otdikhaitye.

Yes

We have to wait.

It is a pity that the downloadable version is not anticipated earlier. maybe politics is involved with the English shop retail chains.

It would be a kind gesture to tell us whèn we may expect a downloadable version (for overseas)

I think that the actuall reason is more technical than political. IV just didn't have the site / payment system built at the time that the game came out. I am sure that downloads will be available as soon as IV finishes the system. As Chris is on holiday for a week, it will probably be at least a week more. Likely, a bit more time than that, too.

I am sure that, in part, they cannot give us a better date because they just don't know when they will be done ^_^

Online downloads for Darwinia

Postby Tom » Sat Mar 12, 2005 9:15 pm

Ok,

plan is as follows:

1. Launch IV store [end of the month]
2. Launch online downloads [April]
3. Blitz international press (most orders have been from the UK to date)
4. Try and get an Xbox deal [later in the year]
5. Try and hawk DS/PSP license to a publisher [later in the year]
6. Try not to bankrupt the company with an Xbox release [next year]
7. Sit on the beach and earn 20%

;-)

Sounds like a plan!
