Map Editor plans

My guess is that it comes out in the next big update (1.3)
Hopefully, the mac version will (as always) hop in simultaniously, though with only one post (and that only appears to be because I emailed them and they were like "oh, whut? OH yeah! We have a progress log thingie... Yeah, we'll get to that someday!) I don't hold out much hope.

Just purchased Multiwinia and have been playing through it. I like this version of the game very much. Great job. Very fun.
Love the mod work done so far, the color change options TGF did are great.
A landscape editor would be fantastic.
Thanks again for another great game.
edit// why not just use the same editor from Darwinia and just add the new structures and scripts?

Only, I think MW for mac won't be released until this is.
Feel free not to answer... I was just curious.
Would you please stop bumping old posts to ask about the map editor and the Mac version? As you have been told time and again, no one but Ambrosia know when the Mac version will be done, and the beta testers can't tell you much of anything about the next patch, which may or may not include a map editor. The answer to both questions is: "It will be done when it is done."

Maybe I'm just ignorant to the editor but I can't seem to see a way to rotate landscape tiles that are copied. I'm thinking this is about the only way with the editor to make a truly symmetrical map being that we don't have direct control of landscape elevation as far as I can tell. It all appears to be done via seed and not precise raise lower selections type editing. Which is fine if we can rotate land tiles by 90 degree increments.
Is this already possible?
One thing I have noticed while playing is that the maps are pretty uneven no matter how symmetrical the design tries to be. The end result is certain spawn locations are handicapped and others are at an advantage.
Duplicate and rotate seems to be the simplest solution I can think of beyond direct land manipulation on the tiniest scale possible (ie individual triangle manipulation via x,y, and z positioning).
I admit I have only just barely studied the editor and may well be missing some key components. Please inform me if this is the case. And if not, I'd love to see something as mentioned above, implemented in the upcoming editor.
[Edit] Afterthought. 3 player maps would need 60 degree rotation capability (trianglation setups).
No real life battlefield is perfectly symmetrical, the point is to use your terrain to your advantage, no matter what it is.

Just like what they say at 3drealms for Duke Nukem Forever. Sheesh. And it's been in the making for more than 10 years.

We don't know, as is being said in countless topics here. Please, stop asking about the Map Editor, it will be done when it's done. Before anyone from IV posts an announcement, no-one will know when it will be released, so instead of asking about this all the time it'd be a better idea to just wait and look out for announcements.

How many roads must a man walk down, before you can call him a man?
Yes, and how many seas must the white dove sail, before she rests in the sand?
Yes, and how many years 'till this thing comes out, whenever that may be?
The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind
Thank you

Just a note, I'm not asking when it's being released, just satisfying those who want to ask, thus ensuing they don't ask, thus ensuing that the Spam man (like the sand man, but does spam instead) has another sleepless night.
