I'm available. So maybe I'll join you.

Will you create a game or simply join a pre-existent one?

Doesn't matter.

Give me about 5 minutes to walk home...

Edit: Server name Smoke me a Kipper... Roflamingo?....

I recently refined my bombing run / sub launching techniques, and now i can take out any and all of my opponents structures in one swoop. maybe i'll post some pics soon.

Also, check out my poll about the movie Death Proof in the introversion lounge.

I have been re-crushed by RL things  and hence everything cool I was going to say or do Defcon forum- or game-related has been back-burnerized.

There, I have officially nuked the English Language. :D

Well, if you mean that thing saying "Tinypic Site Maintenance", then I don't much like it

Edit: Not bad! I approve.

I like A better. I think that the music in B is just a little bit too optimistic. Nuclear war should not be optimistic. ;)

I hadn't thought of it in quite that way. I too am leaning towards B, I can't get that tune out of my head. Incendently, the tune from A was meant to have a "pirate" feel according to the guy that wrote it.

Would it make a difference if I told you the first line of the draft script I wrote is "It's global thermonuclear war. Nobody wins. But maybe you can score the most."? That's got some optimism in it. I just changed the second line of the official trailer from "It's global thermonuclear war. Nobody wins. But maybe you can lose the least."

Fair enough. Nobody has said whether they think the sound f/x are good or bad and should or shouldn't be included.

The jets sound fine. The silo launch bothers me, but I think I have figured out why: the film was shot from some distance away, to the sound is a beat behind the action. While this is, of course, realistic, it is a bit disorienting. Now that I have figured it out, it doesn't bother me nearly so much. :) Leave the sounds in. Yes! Obey me, because in the creation of your own work, you have no free will! You must OBEY! ;)

Thankfully, I own a certain pair of sunglasses that helps me see past any facade posted here. Ah, you thought they were just there to make me look "cool"!

Edit: xander, I just realized what you meant by "beat behind the action" and will attempt to fix that. The sound for the jets was the same (seemingly "off") and I edited it to put it in sync with the pass of the jet. For the sub, we'll I couldn't find any sound for that, so I "borrowed" the splash from a beach recording.
