Multiwinia 1.9.32 ?
While looking for a multiplayer session to join I saw some sessions in red, with map names such as : "stress-test 1"...
But I saw a game named "Multiwinia 1.9.32", so I have a clue there is an update in the starting blocks - that's the scoop

My only problem with the beta side is there aren't that many players online anyway so taking a bunch of the keys guys off for a different version does reduce the mix even further.
Personally the product is out - we've all paid up for it - can't see why these are not open beta with the usual understanding and limitations.

Beta patches can sometimes be buggy, and are certainly not finished meant for the mainstream MW audience.
beta is beta for a reason. What if they released a Beta patch to the public but for some reason it would crash on certain ATI cards? Not that anything that severe would happen, I'd just rather wait for a non-buggy retail patch that drudge through a (potentially) buggy beta patch, wouldn't you? [/u]

What would it improve?
Possibly better by asking what is a beta about? A public beta would mean more would play a test version - on a negative that can have the effect of overwhelming a developer with comments. However in reality the game does not have that many active users to be an issue. So the more testing hopefully the moreissues fond out. I get a lot of sync issues so for me its like i'm playing a buggy version anyway
It should be clear that a public beta would be a seperate client - you would still have your full non beta version as well and would opt into it as required. Public beta's can be simple i.e the client is freely available or they can be by request so more controlled.
