Not encouraging anything, but you can always say the red virus got you :)

No point; the pre-load does not contain either the main exe or the main data file. Ergo you can't run the game. It's purely a pre-load for the rest of the game contents, such as sound and languages (and the spiffy manual).

I don't have work until noon tomorrow. All-night gaming session? Yes, please, and thank you oh so very much.

:? So, when I pre-ordered it, it kinda implied early access.
Instead, we get to look at the manual and data files. Oh, and the auto-patcher.
I don't mind, I'd just have been happier if it said "pre-load - you cannot play the game until 19th" a bit more explicitly.

Umm, it's just like what they do on Steam to the best of my knowledge: you get to download the game files early so that when the release date comes you can play instantly instead of having to wait hours for the download to finish, nothing to complain about.

I have just downloaded and installed it. When I run it opens "autopatcher", which closes after checking for patches. Did anyone else encounter this? The email with the key said "Although the official switch on is at 18:00 BST, we wanted to say "Thank you!" for ordering early, so you'll be able to get your hands on the game a little earlier than everybody else". Any idea when we'll able to run the game?

15:00 BST on the 19th, like it says in that exact same email.

That is the expected behaviour. You don't get to play the game until tomorrow.

But you do seem to get it to play three hours earlier than the rest of the world. So there :)

At least I get to look at the super spiffy manual.
