There is no 1.6
Latest is 1.55. Unless you mean the Mac version. That's not dealt with on these forums.

The only 1.6 which exists is the Mac version. It is based on code from around 1.52 or 1.53 -- somewhere in that range, and, as such, lacks some of the features from later versions.
However, this really isn't the place to talk about the Mac version. You would be better served on the ASW forums.

Besides,I have downloaded v1.6 patch from a website(i dont remember) and installed it.But it's a crap, there is no new in that patch.
You, sir, are an idiot. Read the two posts right above yours in this thread. They both say that (a) 1.55 is the most recent Windows version and that (b) 1.6 is the most recent Mac version.

The 'v1.6' you downloaded was not an official patch, but rather a build by the creators of the Onlink mod intended to be more efficient. As such, a) no gameplay features were added because that was not the intent of the creators and b) it shouldn't really be referred to as the 1.6 patch, as it is different from the actual official version 1.6 as available on the Mac (unless Miah was at all involved with the new Mac version?).

Key words 'at some point' - Onlink has yet to be ported to Mac. The site for the mod is http://www.onlink-mod.net/ .

Just checked it out, 1.6 is the Mac version available from Ambrosia Software here:
http://www.ambrosiasw.com/download/down ... &OS=MacOSX
It works on Macs. And Macs only. It is not an update for the PC version, which is at 1.55.
The PC version patch on the Uplink site is 1.54; the 1.55 update for PC can be found here:
http://www.uplink.co.uk/test/UplinkPatch-1.55.exe
Period.

Yep, we knew as much already
The OP was referring to 'patch 1.6' for PC, which is an erroneously named build made by the creators of Onlink, available here. As one of the creators of Onlink worked on version 1.6 for Mac, there may be crossover between the two.
Nevertheless, it's still misleading to refer to the PC build as a patch, both because it is unofficial and because future patches will be following on from 1.55, and so referring to it as 1.6 gives an incorrect impression that it has more bugfixes/features/etc.
So, no period; not quite. For future reference, if people refer to version 1.6.0 for PC, then this is what they are referring to.
