Hey lads.
Felt a somewhat strong urge to be a hacker, but since I haven't got the balls to go behind bars for it, I decided to go for this game - Uplink. Bought it of Steam, and everything was running along smoothly - till I started the game that is. I've played the game at a friend's house earlier so I know how it should look like, but even MY common sence tells me something's just wrong here. I'll post some screenshots of how what it all looks like for ya.

I use 1280x960 as my general resolution on an 17" Hansol H755 LCD screen. Windows XP Home is my OS. Tried to redownload and reinstall the game several times - didn't help a squirt. Looked through the posts in the forum, and one of you guys said I should create a desktop icon and rearrange the whole resolution from there. However, Steam does not give me a directory with Uplink in it, and if I tell Steam to create a desktop shortcut, the target is "D:\Games\Steam\steam.exe -applaunch 1510".
Well, anyone?

Well, I figured it out now. By some very strange reason I do not understand Uplink does not work well with something called Windowblinds, which is a program that shines up the Windows interface. I unloaded the Windows-theme I had with WindowBlinds, and tried to re-launch Uplink, and guess what - it worked
Lill tip for you IV-developers out there tho. If you're tired of coding your newest release, fix up a patch making Uplink WindowBlinds-frienly, the theme was called Eminence btw
