Linux version ... :D

Postby snoogie » Thu Sep 21, 2006 7:36 am

I want to make a mod for Linux in order to fix all bugs and improve some features (and released a french version)
My question is ... with developper CD I can do a mod for Linux ?
Since I see no mod for linux anywhere ... :(

You can, but it's pretty difficult to actually make it compile on Linux. I tried, got very frustrated and eventually gave up.

I ll try to find someone who can send me the source code for linux and if I can compil it I ll buy the developper CD.

Since I haven't windows and since there are already many mods for windows I won't buy developper CD for windows stuff.

If someone can help me (an admin ?)
Thanks

There's only one lot of source code - on the DevCD. This compiles on Windows and you need to apply a patch for it to (theoretically) compile on Linux.

No one will send you the source code as that is against the Developers Licence.

Sorry :D

Betwen my Uplink crash again under Linux.
Pfuuu it's decided I ll order dev CD and fix it !!
If someone already try to compile and give me some clues ... but not source code or dev ressource :) since I understand it's not well to ask for it :)
Hope to find a way to compile it :)

I doubt the Dev CD is going to be of any use to you unless you plan to spend ages porting the code to Linux

Well don't make complaining posts when you find out it doesn't have the Linux source code because I warned you.
