Er. Yeah. Sorry about that. Getting quirky in my old age. Either that or a cheap trick to get people to read the post. Anyway, on to what I meant to talk about:
Wouldn't it be great to have keyboard shortcuts for things in Uplink? Coming from someone whose windowmanager (until recently) had little use for the mouse, it could be great for the more keyboard-oriented people. Anyone feel like coding it in? Maybe an extra to the long-honoured FBI mod?
Definitely something to include in any Uplink 2 or Uplink Online client.

I'll have to think about that in more detail but I'll get back to you on that
Jadiel wrote:As a related note, you mention adding them to the FBI mod. Is the code available then?
Not as far as I know, but I was aiming that at the FBI mod developers (the names of which have slipped my mind at the moment, but I'm tempted to point the finger at neott)

Copy and paste functions would be very useful, but they're not particularly easy to implement. I'm fairly familiar with the uplink code, but I haven't got round the ins and outs of the eclipse library, and I don't know that much about OpenGL. Binding keys to functions (like the enter and escape keys at the moment) would be fairly straight forward, but as far as I remember you can't even highlight text in uplink.
The tabbing thing's already there, isn't it? At least for fields, anyway. For the buttons you can use enter and escape usually.

There will be no uplink 2. This was confirmed by Introversion in March 2005.
