Defcon Mac (and Windows) beta testing to begin

Postby John » Thu Feb 15, 2007 11:16 pm

We're pleased to announce that we'll soon be ready to start beta testing the Mac and Windows versions of Defcon.

The Mac beta programme will be conducted by Ambrosia Software, so either apply directly to them or send me an email ( john@introversion.co.uk ) with the following information: Full Name, Email, Mac Hardware and Operating System Version.

We'll also be testing an update to the Windows version of Defcon which will be interoperable with the Mac version. We'd really appreciate your help here to ensure that no interoperability problems remain.

How exactly do you mean the Win patch with be interoperable with the Mac version? If it's one patch for two different platforms, great!

By the way, cool the Mac version is coming up! I'm sure xander will go crazy when he reads this :D!

The Windows version will need to be patched in order to interoperate with the Mac version.

Emailed, wish me luck!

The only reason I still use my PC is because of Defcon, maybe I can chuck it soon ;)

Oh, right. Pretty stupid I didn't get that myself...

Anyways, I'm not participating. Supreme Commander was released today, so I think that'll take up most of my time now (since I finished F.E.A.R. incl expansion twice now). But I can't wait for the Subversion testing stages!

On top of that, I'm setting up a DEFCON community site with some others.

I help out people in the neighbourhood with computer problems for [a reasonable amount] / hour. But I also get allowance every month. I happen to be quite good at saving money.

And you forgot my Creative Zen Vision:M, by the way. :D

That's one explanation, but a more plausible one would be prostitution. Well rentboyage...rentboying....
