Defcon Mac (and Windows) beta testing to begin

Postby John » Thu Feb 15, 2007 11:16 pm

We're pleased to announce that we'll soon be ready to start beta testing the Mac and Windows versions of Defcon.

The Mac beta programme will be conducted by Ambrosia Software, so either apply directly to them or send me an email ( john@introversion.co.uk ) with the following information: Full Name, Email, Mac Hardware and Operating System Version.

We'll also be testing an update to the Windows version of Defcon which will be interoperable with the Mac version. We'd really appreciate your help here to ensure that no interoperability problems remain.

Come on, John, I sent you an email, like, 18 minutes ago! Reply already! ;)

jelco the galactaboy wrote:How exactly do you mean the Win patch with be interoperable with the Mac version? If it's one patch for two different platforms, great!

The Windows version will need to be patched in order to interoperate with the Mac version.

That's one explanation, but a more plausible one would be prostitution. Well rentboyage...rentboying....

The PC v1.4 patch (beta1) is ready for download and testing - have a look in the Beta Test Discussion forum for details. Version 1.4 is not compatible with any previous versions, so most of the server listing will show up Red (cant join), but you will be able to play 1.4 users on PC and Mac.

The Mac beta version will hopefully be coming later today.
