Important information for Windows users (non-STEAM)

If you have a crash with Uplink 1.31 under Windows, please try with our latest patch-in-development, which you can get
here. The patch has been specially developed to help track down crash bugs.

If you have a crash, hopefully the crash reporter will come up and send the crash dump to our server. It should then give you a crash reference, which you can use to relate your bug report on the forums to the uploaded crash report. You can also find the crash reference at the top of the ERRORLOG.TXT file.

About saved games

Postby JamesL » Fri Jun 02, 2006 3:17 pm

If you experience crashes using version 1.31a and you are using an old agent file (saved game), please try creating a new profile.

There is a known error using older saves (from versions before 1.2, at least) that affects 1.31 as well as 1.31a. This is due to the new gameplay introduced in 1.2 and a corresponding change in the agent files.

This is known to have cause crashes 197d9bb0 (Assasinator) and a0f00118 (Martyr).
