An online version would be about two years late.

This community is in decline.

How do I know?

Look at my join date.

quick question: Instead of Introversion making a sequel, why not have a bunch of Uplink fans make an online MOD of uplink using the dev-cd? Alot of people, including me, want an uplink online game, but the way I see it, if we all want it so badly, why not make it ourselves!? I myself am adding the dev-cd to my christmas list.. I'm gonna have some fun with that!

I believe many people have tried, then either gave up, or found it to hard.

Its not a topic, Its a forum.
And they have this section, because a little time after Uplink came out,
people bought the DevCD, and started posting ideas for new things
that they could incorporate into the game (Take the FBI mod for example),
I'm sure many ideas were tossed around which lead to the making of it.

Bare in mind Uplink is getting old now...
And the threads here, may inspire someone to make a mod of their own!

Says it all really, nothing to do with hacking.

If you do not make Uplink2, then you have just killed the entire game. You will have let down everyone who has been waiting for another verision with a massively multiplayer system. While I recognize that it would be very challenging to achieve, the amount of money that could be generated from the sales of this game could be unimaginable. You have created a game with an impressive plot dynamic, however, it still seems to be incomplete. Uplink2 would fill that void.

Everyone who has been waiting for an online version produced by IV is a fool..

The very fact that this forum is still active rather suggests that the game has not been "killed" as you put it.

What was my point again..? Oh yeah - read the topic title. GET OVER IT.

Shut up, you fool. Introversion don't do sequels. Get over it.

I was just trying to make a point :) . No disrespect was intended whatsoever towards Introversion. It would just be nice to see at least some knid of update if there won't be an online version. Imagine the possiblities... ::proceeds to think of them....::

If you want it so badly, get the dev cd, and make an update yourself.

Now, for the last time, just to make it clear.

THERE WILL BE NO UPLINK 2 OR UPLINK ONLINE BY INTROVERSION.

So stop bloody asking about it.

I'm still unsure about whether there'll be an Uplink 2...
Can you tell me?

Heh. God knows I want an online Uplink. Some of you may be keeping track of the online attempt I've been working on for the last year. But please, PLEASE stop complaining that Introversion hasn't done any work on another Uplink. Sequels are sometimes fun, but Introversion is brimming with unique new ideas. Darwinia was a completely new direction, and it turned out great (albeit the game was a little short), and their next game looks interesting, it reminds me of that old movie Wargames. Anyways, my point is, quit whining :D. I hate hearing Deepsmeg and Rkiver flame people for asking about Uplink 2 as much as I hate hearing people ask about Uplink 2.
