It seems Strategy First is determined to profit at IV's expense. First they screw IV out of their fare share, now they bundle this really great game (Uplink) with some really crappy games.
*urp* Excuse me, gotta take my pepto.
Trymedia is a publisher. SF is "republishing" the game through them.
IV could have made (and still can!) make a direct deal with them. I have one, so I don't see why IV couldn't get one.
Trymedia can limit distribution. You can exclude the US in order to avoid a conflict with SF (you shouldn't normally care) and distribute in other places only.
Uplink is in the top 25 best sellers.

jolo78957 wrote:Exosyphen as in the writer of all those hacker games? Man most of them suck, but you should release Blue Sky for free. Also, why did you call it BS Hacker?
At least he didn't double post.
His games are more for the people that want to hack via commands.
Rather than using the mouse.
And you basically answered your own question.
BlueSky = BS
Blue Sky Hacker.
He should release BShacker for free because?
Because you think it 'sucks' yeah, that's a justifiable reason!
*Waves at Exosyphen Remember me? I used to run the 'Discount Hacking Store; and sold your games before you got big *
Exosyphen games arn't as bad as people are always claiming. Sure, it aint no uplink, but then again, they're not DESIGNED to be 'uplink's. They're good in their own right.
EDIT:

There are 4 hacker games made by exosyphen:
BS Hacker - Replay (and the Zero Expansions pack)
BS Hacker - Mobile Console (Pocket PC and PC version)
Digital Hazard
Blue Sky - Acceptable Casualties

Therefore most, sort of means 3 of them, and if your going to give
3 out of 4 games the label of 'Sucks' well then I think you need to
be a bit more constructive, or at least back up your lovely statement.
To my understanding, the full version of these games entails more
missions, more in depth story-lines and generally a longer game.
Perhaps it's just not your type of game eh?
Edit : Just to back up my statement, I said most because 'a couple'
would be 2.
Thanks
Not to defend my case, but whenever I say something sucks, I usually back it up with a few arguments.
I never played CounterStrike for example. And as xMs said, it's because it's not my type of game.
As stated above, the difference between the demo and the full versions, is the number of levels and some add-ons. I never cut out any features from the demo.
AnthonyS : What happened with your store? Feel free to still run it if you wish. I can still offer you custom builds & stuff to get your commission.

The company I used to get commissions through don't offer your software anymore, and I wasn't aware that EMetrix did any 'commission' type setup?
But yes, I would be interested in reselling for you again Email me; Anthy@ShakingSpirit.co.uk
Fine I enjoyed Blue Sky Acceptable Casulties and Digital Hazard I guess most was an over statement. I orginally thought that BSHacker Replay was cool and fun until I got stuck and couldn't figure out the bounce features and became extremely frustratred. I at one point called all you're games high quaility so I guess sucks was an overstastement as well. I acknowledge that they are all high quality games even if I don't enjoy them. Apology finished.
Thank you.
As far as I am concerned, everyone is welcomed to enjoy them or not. Afterall, we will never see the day when a PC game will be liked be EVERY gamer.
Remember ... if you tell a developer what you haven't liked or found difficult, there is a high chance the next it will be made to your liking.
I made most of the features, based on gamer feedback.
