Project 52

Postby TrueADM » Sat Jul 09, 2005 11:51 pm

I was originally making Nanobyte Online (that was an online based hacking game) but that soon stopped and the project evolved into this game - Project 52.

For more information, visit http://www.project52.net

It's an online hacking/racing/role playing game. Unique.

I must say, i entered this thread with a degree of scepticism.

The level of scepticism was not helped by the phrase "online hacking sim"... it was however lowered by the fact he has taken the time to register a domain name...

This brief reduction in scepticisms was short lived... upon visiting the site I discovered it wasn't so much of a site as it was a vBulletin forum (albeit one with a nice skin)... oh and did i mention that this game is a RACING RPG and a hacking sim combined! What a combination...

But, all that being said the screenshots don't look half bad... even if the concept is a little odd.

If this gets past the vapourware stage (which I’d be impressed and surprised by) then it could actually be quite an interesting game!

I should make one of these hacking games. I could get 3, maybe 4 sales for a week's worth of work.

I know it's a strange concept but it's one that has potential and I think that I can make it good. I'm looking for some testers at the moment so if anyone would be interested in doing so just PM me. Thanks.

Also I have the summer to do this project in, should be enough time. :D

People don't mind so much if it's not completly spammy and it's for personal projects. Hell, Uplink was advertised by IV posting on messageboards.

Is the game 3d? There are some very neat 3d models of cars, but the actual screenshots more resemble a homemade version of GTA2...

No. P52 isn't 3D. It's 2D and very cool. And, meh, it's not a homemade GTA2. I'm an alpha-tester.

to make it look cool before you get to the actual gameplay. just like other game's commercials showing cutscene video instead of gameplay.

I would be interested in testing the beta.
