Uplnik Code Card Hacked...

I'm new here. I've searched, if here is anything about this... so i'm posting revelation file ;]

But i should explain something...

I play Uplink since 2 years ago. Sorry, my english isn't good. I always tried to discover what is Uplink Code Card, but never really worked on it. And few days ago - i found it.

The uplink Code Card - just few first sentences from uplink tutorial program!!! Few last lines of code card are scratch elements from game. I think, that it's from game authors' usr file.


I think, you all know - how to "decrypt" it. My hint - the text is SIMPLY and CLEAR for computers...


If you'll find out what i mean :twisted: , post it here...

I won't post here the "translated" code card, cause i don't really know - if introversion Team would like me then...

Any details - PM me...

Silly child. Where do you get your code to enter into the game when creating a new account, BlackCloud?

Erm MG_Peter. We've known that for years. It's just a load of the tutorial translated into hex. Big deal.
The reason you didn't find anything in the search is because it's not interesting and nobody cares, heh.

"The game author" - You mean Chris. It's not like he doesn't have a name..

I'm sorry - but i should explain my excitement.

  • I haven't got internet connection before - i haven't known the real Uplink Community
  • The "fanclub" of Uplink, which has over 100 members (i think),
    haven't got this information before...

Sounds like a couple of warezc***s looking to ape a freebie for their fellow asspirates. They're just using the hex-to-plaintext excuse to bypass everyone's scrutiny.

Meh. Feeling pedantic. It's actually a section of the Uplink EXE, IIRC... hence the 00 (null) codes, etc.
