Your wish is my command. I've already had to go back and change all yoru little -miah, to the -Developers of Onlink. Because, someone *cough* keeps putting their name at the end of the things that I wrote, *cough*.

We can only allow a certain ammount of downloads per month, because we just dont have the bandwidth we need to support all you guys downloading. Thats why were asking for donations, so we can get more bandwidth and then give you guys more downloads.

For those who still have problems after renaming patch.dat, try renaming/removing data/lans/sample.txt....

It just says that the maximum has been reached.

In reality, however, I just disabled them.

Why? Beta3b is completely worthless. So when I have Beta3c ready here, I shall upload and allow for downloads again. Which should be soon.

F.Y.I. MSVC++ 7.0 .NET sucks. Never. ever. use it. It's the only reason it's taken this bloody long.

Damn, and I was planning on looking to see the Uni's bookshop VC++.net for Students. Oh well, at least it's £TOOMUCH well saved; the book itself has content that's mostly spurious, if it's anything like VB.net for Students.

C++

Postby Katana Steel » Thu Mar 03, 2005 9:16 am

Mas Tnega: If you realy intend to learn VC++, the forget the V for a
good time and get a book generaly decribing the C++ language
without all those "fancy" features of say MFC or .net.

I can recomend:
"The C++ Programming Language" 3rd Edition
by Bjarne Stoustroup
ISBN: 0-201-88954-4

That is the one I use / reading atm.

Well, I always start to learn C++ then quit cuz I find other stuff more entertaining. I know basic C++ but programming languages always seem more boring that php.

Ya, we've been considering different ideas. I personally have about 20 gigs of bandwidth, randomly scattered around the net, so, what I plan to do is upload the download to a few places, and then I will make a mirror page, but, it would be a lot easier and quicker to just put it all on Onlink, we'll get it sorted out. :) Also, I am thinking about making a page like a "Hall of Generosity" and put everyone who donates name on it, or their handle and how much they donated, with a big Thank You next to it.

I wasn't buying it for the book, I was buying it for the copy of MS Visual Studio.NET, which included a 30 day trial of everything, and presumably a slightly more full version of VC++.NET

Torrent?

Postby Flawd » Sat Mar 05, 2005 11:34 pm

Well if you have problems with bandwidth then why not torrent the files out?

You can post it around to more press and also get it out to more ppl.
