I got cought is there anyway I can get my "person"

damn I just got cought and I wanna know if there is a way to get ure "person" back? creating a new person and delete the shit in the Criminal Machine? or are there no way to get it back??

Well, this is what I do:
Every 10 minutes/every time you leave the game, just copy the uplink folder to a different folder, so if you go back and play the game again later & get cought, you can use your backup files and continue, without making the mistakes you made b4.

I might create a user editor for Uplink sometime...

No there is not. Every time you create a new user it creates a new universe essentially. Your old user is in now way linked to your new user at all.

I found this at the FAQ:

Q: I was disowned by Uplink, my agent has been kicked off, can I get back in and use my old account?
A: No, once uplink kicks you out it is game over <unless someone figures out a way to hex edit the .usr file to get back in>. You can back up you .usr file at any time by copying it and pasting the copy elsewhere. After some tragedy happens, simply delete the old .usr file and replace it with the copy <NB if you want to keep the game tense, don't do this>.

so is there a way to "hex" it cus I really want that back I had so many good things at it

Currently there is not. Just forget it, your old user is gone, dead, finito. Move on.
