Got my Uplink CD in the post this week.
I was wondering if there was any way to play/modify the midi files in the music.dat folder. I know that you have to rename it to .zip to get at the contents, but I don't have a player that will recognise .mod files. Running OS X (on an iBook).
Thanks,
Javi
ps. spent 3 hours trying to plough through it last night, and then found that I'd forgotten to erase one itty bitty log. damn.
Midi files?

Quote: from Javier on 12:48 am on Jan. 12, 2004[br]Thanks. I thought that .mod files were just a different type of midi or something. Oops.
Got it working. Another little Q: Can I replace the in-game music? Or is it just a case of running it windowed and having iTunes etc. in the background?
Thanks again,
Javi
It is something LIKE midi...
I run iTunes in the background... I'm sure there is a way to replace/add the ingame music but running iTunes in the back is easyer ;P
I had a playlist with 'special' uplink music (including the uplink songs )

I believe someone has converted the music files to a nicer format, you might check the Uplink section of www.ambrosiasw.com . :)
