I`m making Uplink ONLINE !!!!

Hi! I love Uplink and I wanted to play it with my friends,but developers are lazy :-p so I decided to do it on myself. I`m now making new Uplink in flash - it will look the same (supports new skins etc..) ,but it will run on server,so you can register and then start hacking other registered users or pre-built systems :) .The best thing is that if it will be in flash it will run on all systems already (Win,Linux,Mac).

My own server is on www.neo-games.net ...and my ICQ is 325-762-150. So if you want to help me ,I`ll be happy :-) .I have`nt developer cd,because I don`t know if I need it - I need all the graphics from game (people photos) and some sounds....so if you know where to get it,you can send me it or contact me where can I download it :) THX....

You do need the Developer's CD or else you will have a hard time. It contains the code to most of the things which will make your life easier.
I did defeat Epyon, on Hard Mode but I used up lots of continues. :)

corruptation is right.and moreover everyone wants thegame earlier....so why dont u get the Dev CD so that uplink Online will be ready earlier

Yep and 0% of them came out...

Technically theres no need for him to get the DevCD if hes doing it in flash...Flash uses its own lang 'ActionScript', as for the photos, just unzip the graphics.dat file, theres a 'photos' directory.

But Flash doesn't look good for Uplink.

Exactly, it'll die out soon, or it'll be crap, but theres still no reason to get the DevCD, or at least not that I see.

Yes I know - I don`t need the DevCD - graphics.dat you say ? It works ! :-) also sounds.dat works....so I have wavs and tifs that`s everything what I need.

It won`t die out soon and it won`t be a crap :-p

It can look as good as original uplink - but I will do it in 3D !! I have Flash and Swift3D so I can make it,I know how to make it and I WILL make it :-D Yes I`m madman :-)

Firstly I will do it for Online playing ,then for LANs.

So if you have some suggestions....I will make an english site on my server (www.neo-games.net) in next two weeks.(about making this game). I think it`s name should be neoUPLINK or Downlink...or just Uplink ? But "Uplink" is copyrighted.... what do you think ? Any good ideas ? :-)

Well, Downlink is already taken. How about FlashLink?

Im not sure about the longitivy of this, but hey, if its good, then your looking at something like 3-4 weeks of good play...

Yeah ! FlashLink sounds good :-)
Longivity ? If it will be the same as Uplink ,it would be nice. Firstly I will do some pre-built servers, then when someone register he will buy a new machine and then he can start hacking - Users can hack into pre-built systems or each other. Then I will continue adding some more systems...

I will do it in 3d (some animations) ,but design will look like Uplink. But now I`m developing php-nuke....I will start making FlashLink in a few days (one or two).

Ok :-) I`ve got a lot of ideas....

I can`t find Uplink font anywhere - I have downloaded it last year ,when Uplink was released - but now I can`t find it - I can`t find cd on which I have burnt it and I can`t find the site which I downloaded it from :-(
